Importance and distribution
Phaeocercospora comprises two species. Phaeocercospora colophospermi is reported on leaves of Colophospermum mopane (Fabaceae) in South Africa while P. juniperina is reported from leaves of Juniperus (Cupressaceae) in Europe (Romania). Species of Phaeocercospora are foliicolous and inhabit the hosts as asymptomatic mutualists, benign commensals or latent pathogens (Dubey and Pandey 2019).
