Importance and distribution

Pantospora comprises two species causing leaf spots on three host plants and plant families namely Asteraceae, Malvaceae and Musaceae. Pantospora has been reported from Australia, North America (Caribbean, Mexico) and South America (Colombia). Further studies are likely to discover more species of Pantospora.
