Importance and distribution
Mycerema comprises only one species known on leaves of Vochysiaceae in South America (Brazil). It is epiphytic and may cause marketability problems, due to the black hyphae coating the surface of plants (Hongsanan et al. 2016). There can also be chlorosis under the hyphae (Chomnunti et al. 2014).
