Importance and distribution
Isariopsis comprises six species causing leaf blights and spots on host plants and plant families such as Annonaceae, Caryophyllaceae, Fabaceae, Lauraceae, Malpighiaceae, Menispermaceae, Oleaceae, Rosaceae, Rubiaceae, Vitaceae. Isariopsis has a wide distribution including Africa (Mauritius, South Africa), Asia (China, India, Philippines), Australia, Europe (France, Italy, Netherlands, United Kingdom) and North America (Caribbean, New York, the United States). Isariopsis is still poorly understood as molecular data is unavailable.
