Index Fungorum number: IF 8637; Facesoffungi number: FoF 08617, 2 morphological species (Species Fungorum 2022), no molecular data available.

Parasitic on host. Sexual morph: Unknown. Asexual morph: Sporodochia (fascicles, coremia) parasitic, superficial, fasciculate-fasciate, waxy, composed of hyaline, septate, loosely united, converging “hyphae” (conidiophores). Conidiogenous cells not observed. Conidia ellipsoid, aseptate, hyaline (adapted from Hennings, 1908; Videira et al. 2017).

Type species: Isariella auerswaldiae Henn.

Notes: Isariella is characterised by parasitic, superficial sporodochia, and ellipsoid, aseptate, hyaline conidia. The placement of Isariella in Mycosphaerellaceae is doubtful. Fresh collections with DNA sequence data are needed to confirm the generic placement of Isariella.
