Species of Deightonomyces are plant pathogenic causing leaf spots.

Diversity of the genus

Deightonomyces comprises only one species known on Dalea enneandra and Dalea spinosa (Fabaceae) in Kansas and Mexico. Deightonomyces is still poorly studied. More research is warranted for species discovery.
