Species of Acervuloseptoria are pathogenic showing as leaf spots.

Industrial relevance and applications

The industrial applications of Acervuloseptoria has not been investigated.

Quarantine significance

The biocontrol properties of Acervuloseptoria has not been reported.

Biochemical importance of the genus, chemical diversity or applications

The chemical application of Acervuloseptoria has not been studied. Acervuloseptoria may produce important enzymes. This warrants further studies.

Diversity of the genus

Acervuloseptoria comprises two species. A. capensis and A. ziziphicola are known from Ziziphus mucronata (Rhamnaceae) in South Africa. A. fraxini from Fraxinus (Oleaceae) in Russia. Comprehensive studies are likely to discover more species of Acervuloseptoria.
