Importance and distribution

Heliocephala comprises eight species known on Fabaceae and Sapindaceae. Heliocephala has been reported from Africa (Zimbabwe), Asia (India (Orissa, Tamil Nadu), Vietnam) and North America (Mexico, Caribbean (Cuba)). Heliocephala natarajnii was isolated as contaminant from culture of Pisolithus tinctorius.
