Importance and distribution
There are 28 species of Lembosina listed in Index Fungorum (2022). But, two species have been transferred to Echidnodes and Lembosiniella. Lembosina species have been reported from several hosts in Apocynaceae, Bromeliaceae, Capparaceae, Dracaenaceae, Ebenaceae, Ericaceae, Menispermaceae and Rubiaceae. Lembosina has a wide geographical range such as Africa (Gauteng, Kenya, Tanzania), Asia (Sri Lanka), Australia (Queensland), Europe (Belgium), South America (Brazil) and The United States (Hawaiian Island).
