Importance and distribution

There are 20 Jahnula epithets in Index Fungorum (2022), but five species have been transferred to Aliquandostipite, Ascagilis, Neojahnula and Pseudojahnula. Jahnula comprises 15 species known on wide range of plant such as decorticated submerged wood, Eleiodoxa conferta (Arecaceae), Licuala longicalycata (Arecaceae), Machilus velutina (Lauraceae), Pinus sp. (Pinaceae) and Salix sp. (Salicaceae). Jahnula is reported from Africa (KwaZulu-Natal, Mauritius, Seychelles), Asia (China, Hong Kong), Australia (Queensland), Europe (Germany, Martinique Island) and The United States (Florida, Illinois).
