Pleurotrema polysemum

Pleurotrema polysemum (Nyl.) Müll. Arg., Bot. Jb. 6: 389 (1885).

Importance and distribution

There are twenty species in Index Fungorum (2022), but several species have been transferred to Anisomeridium, Arthopyrenia, Lithothelium, Megalotremis and Viridothelium. Pleurotrema comprises 14 species known on bark of unidentified trees and pneumatophores of Avicennia marina (Acanthaceae) in Asia (Andaman Island, India (Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra), Thailand).
