Importance and distribution
Pseudorobillarda species are saprobes, pathogens, endophytes and P. peltigerae is found on thallus of Peltigera rufescens, forming obligate associations with lichens (van den Boom 1998). Pseudorobillarda comprises eighteen morphological species distributed among eleven hosts in Cornaceae, Cupressaceae, Fabaceae, Grossulariaceae, Myrtaceae, Peltigeraceae and Poaceae. Pseudorobillarda is known from Africa (Nigeria), Asia (India, Russia, Thailand), Europe (Germany, Italy, United Kingdom) and North America (Caribbean (Cuba), Canada, The United States).
