Lasiostemma melioloides

Lasiostemma melioloides (Berk. & M.A. Curtis) Theiss., Syd. & P. Syd., in Sydow & Sydow, Annls mycol. 15(3/4): 218 (1917).

Importance and distribution

There are 16 Lasiostemma epithets in Index Fungorum (2022), but several species have been transferred to Antennularia, Dimeriella, Epipolaeum, Eudimeriolum, Niesslia, Perisporiopsis and Wentiomyces. Lasiostemma comprises six species known on Bauhinia sp. (Fabaceae), Conyza (Asteraceae), Leersia hexandra (Poaceae), Leptilon chinense (Asteraceae), Paspalum scrobiculatum (Poaceae) and Radermachera pinnata (Bignoniaceae). Lasiostemma is reported from Asia (Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines), South America (Brazil) and the United States (Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, West Indies).
