Importance and distribution

Bryomyces comprises nine species known on six host plants in Gymnomitriaceae, Hypnaceae, Plagiochilaceae, Prionodontaceae and Scapaniaceae. They are known from Europe (Austria, Sweden) and South America (Bolivia).
