Xylopezia hemisphaerica

Xylopezia hemisphaerica (Fr.) Sherwood, in Sherwood-Pike & Boise, Brittonia 38(1): 41 (1986).

Importance and distribution

Xylopezia comprises four species known on Abies concolor (Pinaceae), Betula alba (Betulaceae), Calluna vulgaris (Ericaceae), Ceanothus velutinus (Rhamnaceae), Chrysothamnus nauseosus (Asteraceae), Juniperus occidentalis (Cupressaceae), Pinus sp. (Pinaceae), Quercus sp. (Fagaceae), Salix sp. (Salicaceae) and Vaccinium sp. (Ericaceae). Xylopezia is reported from Europe (Czechoslovakia, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom) and the United States (California, Nevada, Oregon).
