Importance and distribution
Troposporella comprises five species known on bark of Quercus (Fagaceae), Pinus sylvestris (Pinaceae) and fallen leaves of Pachyanthus poiretii (Melastomataceae). Troposporella is reported from Asia (India), Europe (United Kingdom) and North America (Caribbean (Cuba), The United States (Michigan)). According to Species Fungorum (2022), all species of Troposporella have been synonymized to Helicoma and Troposporopsis.
