 Type species: Petrakiopeltis byrsonimae Bat., A.F. Vital & Cif.

Notes: Lumbsch and Huhndorf (2010) and Kirk et al. (2013) accepted Petrakiopeltis in Microthyriaceae but Wu et al. (2011) and Hyde et al. (2013) did not. Wijayawardene et al. (2017, 2020) listed Petrakiopeltis in Dothideomycetes genera incertae sedis. Molecular data is lacking. Fresh collections with DNA sequence data are needed to confirm the systematic position of Petrakiopeltis.
