Importance and distribution

Neottiosporina comprises eight species known on Achyrocline satureioides (Asteraceae), Cyperus brevifolius (Cyperaceae), Paspalum sp. (Poaceae), Phragmites australis (Poaceae), Pinus caribaea (from damped-off seedlings) (Pinaceae), Schoenoplectus sp. (Cyperaceae), Sorghum plumosum (Poaceae) and Themeda australis (Poaceae). Neottiosporina is reported from Africa (Ethiopia, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda), Asia (China, Hong Kong), Europe (Netherlands), Oceania (Australia), South America (Argentina) and the United States (Virginia).
