Malacaria meliolicola

Importance and distribution

There are eight Malacaria epithets in Index Fungorum (2022), but one species has been transferred to Acerbiella. Malacaria comprises seven species known on five hosts in Annonaceae, Castaneaceae, Lauraceae, Meliolaceae, Rubiaceae and Sapindaceae. Malacaria has been reported from Africa (Uganda), Asia (Philippines), Australia (New South Wales) and South America (Venezuela).
