Importance and distribution
Lophionema comprises nine species known on Eupatorium purpureum (Asteraceae), Fraxinus (Oleaceae), Oenothera biennis (Onagraceae), Pinus sylvestris (Pinaceae), Salix (Salicaceae) and Ulmus scabra (Ulmaceae). Lophionema is reported from Asia (Indonesia, Russia), Europe (Italy, Portugal, Ukraine), North America (Caribbean (Puerto Rico), The United States) and South America (Brazil).
