Index Fungorum number: IF 2523; Facesoffungi number: FoF 00124, 1 morphological species (Species Fungorum 2022), no molecular data available.

Growing on leaves of Puya chilensis. Sexual morph: Mycelium up to 8–13 μm long spreading below host surface which is easily removed from the host tissue, composed of dark brown moniliform shape cells. Ascostromata black, immersed to erumpent, gregarious, scattered, globose to subglobose, coriaceous, unilocular, composed of one layer of brown cells of textura angularis fused to the host. Hamathecium lacking pseudoparaphyses Asci 8-spored, bitunicate, elliptic-obovate, sessile or short pedicellate, apically rounded with a small ocular chamber. Ascospores irregularly arranged, overlapping, 2–3 seriate, brown, uniseptate, constricted at the septum, with broadly to narrowly rounded ends, smooth-walled.
