Importance and distribution
Hyalosphaera comprises four species known on Clidemia sp. (Melastomataceae), Hyptis capitata (Lamiaceae), Miconia sp. (Melastomataceae) and Paullinia pinnata (Sapindaceae). Hyalosphaera is reported from Central and South America (Brazil, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Virgin Islands).
