Importance and distribution
Hansfordiellopsis comprises five species known on Ficus urceolaris (Moraceae), lichen forming fungi, Gustavia augusta (Lecythidaceae), on leaves of Leguminosae, Setomyces orchideae (Orchidaceae), thalli of Porina trichothelioides (Porinaceae) in Africa (Kenya, Sierra Leone, Uganda) and South America (Brazil).
