Ceratophoma

Ceratophoma Höhn., Hedwigia 59(5): 276 (1917).

Index Fungorum number: IF 7533; Facesoffungi number: FoF 12157, 1 morphological species (Species Fungorum 2022), no molecular data available.

Saprobic on host. Sexual morph: Unknown. Asexual morph: Pycnidia erupting through the whole beak, Conidiomatal wall thick-walled, leathery black, comprising plectenchymatic-small cells. Conidiophores simple. Conidia hyaline, unicellular oblong (adapted from von Höhnel 1917).

 Type species: Ceratophoma rostrata (Fuckel) Höhn.

Notes: Ceratophoma is characterised by superficial pycnidia erupting through the host and hyaline, unicellular oblong conidia. Molecular data is lacking for Ceratophoma. Ceratophoma is in Dothideomycetes genera incertae sedis.
