Importance and distribution
Saccardinula comprises twelve species known on leaves of Ardisia (Primulaceae), Bambusae, Pinus pinaster (Pinaceae), Coffea arabica (Rubiaceae), Ilex theezans (Aquifoliaceae), Zanthoxylum (Rutaceae), Villaresia gongonha var. integrifolia (Cardiopteridaceae) and leaves of Xylosma pubescens (Salicaceae). Saccardinula is reported from Asia (Philippines), Central America (Paraguay), Europe (Portugal) and South America (Brazil, Costa Rica).
