Importance and distribution
Nematostigma comprises six species known on a range of plants and other fungi including leaves of Bridelia micrantha (Phyllanthaceae), Castanopsis tribuloides (Fagaceae), Vismia confertiflora (Hypericaceae), Mitragyna stipulosa (Rubiaceae) and parasitic on Parodiopsis melioloides (Parodiopsidaceae). Nematostigma is reported from Africa (Uganda), Asia (Nepal) and South America (Ecuador).
