Importance and distribution

There are seven Cookella epithets in Index Fungorum (2022), but several species have been transferred to Articularia, Dictyonella and Uleomyces. Cookella comprises four species known on living leaves of Schinus lentiscifolius (Anacardiaceae), Roupala brasiliensis (Proteaceae), Quercus pedunculata (Fagaceae) and Bignoniaceae. Cookella is reported from Europe (Italy) and South America (Argentina, Brazil).
