Importance and distribution
Zalaria comprises two species known from house dust in North America (Canada). They also occur on wooden artwork causing blackened artwork and surfaces (Sabatini et al. 2020). Zalaria is pathogenic and may cause human diseases such as asthma (Humphries et al. 2017). Zalaria comprise two species known from house dust in North America (Canada). Further studies are required to discover more species of Zalaria.
