Importance and distribution
Phaeothecoidea comprises five species known on Corymbia henryii (Myrtaceae), Eucalyptus botryoides (Myrtaceae), Melaleuca quinquenervia (Myrtaceae), Protea repens (Proteaceae) and Pinus radiata (Pinaceae) in Australia and South Africa.
