Importance and distribution
Penidiellomyces comprises two saprobic species. Penidiellomyces aggregata is known from leaf bracts of Phaenocoma prolifera (Asteraceae) while P. drakensbergensis is reported from leaves of Protea (Proteaceae) in Africa.
