Importance and distribution

Magnibotryascoma comprises four species. Magnibotryascoma acaciae was found on dead phyllodes of Acacia mangium (Fabaceae) in Asia (Malaysia (Sabah)), M. mali on decayed twigs of Malus halliana (Rosaceae) in Asia (China (Yunnan)), M. melanommoides was isolated from decorticated branch of Salix (Salicaceae) in Europe (Austria) and M. rubriostiolata was found on twigs of Ribes sanguineum (Grossulariaceae) in Europe (Norway).
