Importance and distribution

The apothecia of Lendemeriella contain parietin, emodin, and traces of emodinal, emodic acid, parietinic and fallacinal acid and might be of chemical importance (Kondratyuk et al. 2020). Lendemeriella comprises eight species known on Alnus incana (Betulaceae), Abies sibirica (Pinaceae), bark of conifer and deciduous trees, on limestone, schist, gneiss and xerothermic offshoots in forest-steppe zone or in Mediterranean area (Kondratyuk et al. 2020). Lendemeriella has Arctic-alpine, boreal-montane and Mediterranean distribution (Kondratyuk et al. 2020).
