R. fuscoporiae is known from basidiomata of Fuscoporia wahlbergii (Hymenochaetaceae) while R. guyanensis is known from decaying leaf of an angiosperm in Europe (France-French Guiana). Readerielliopsis plays a role in breakdown of dead organic matter and maintains the nutrient cycle in the ecosystem.
