Diversity of the genus
Ramulariopsis comprises five species known on four plant families namely Euphorbiaceae, Fabaceae, Leguminosae and Malvaceae. Ramulariopsis has been reported from several countries worldwide such as Madagascar, Peru, Philippines, Tanzania, Africa, Alabama, Argentina, Asia, Australia, Brazil, California, Chad, China, Colombia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Europe, Ghana, India, Iran, Kenya, Malawi, Nicaragua, Niger, Oklahoma, Mozambique, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, Senegal, South Africa, South Carolina, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Texas, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Uruguay, Venezuela, Virginia, Zambia. Comprehensive studies are likely to discover more species of Ramulariopsis.
