Type species: Pseudoepicoccum cocos (F. Stevens) M.B. Ellis 1971
Notes: Pseudoepicoccum was introduced by Ellis (1971) with P. cocos as type species. Pseudoepicoccum is characterized by brown pseudoparenchymatous stromata, macronematous, mononematous conidiophores, aseptate pale brown conidia. In the phylogenetic analyses of Pratibha et al. (2014), Pseudoepicoccum is closely related to Piedraia from the family Piedraceae in the order Capnodiales. The taxonomic placement of Pseudoepicoccum is still uncertain and is currently in Capnodiales, genera incertae sedis.
