Importance and distribution

Pseudoveronaea is a pathogenic genus causing sooty blotch and flyspeck (SBFS) on hawthorn and apple fruit (Rosaceae) and may be of quarantine significance. Pseudoveronaea comprises two species and has been reported from the United States (Illinois, Michigan).
