Importance and distribution

Uleothyrium comprises two species. Uleothyrium amazonicum is reported from leaves of Salacia sp. (Celastraceae) in South America (Brazil). Uleothyrium leptocarpum has been found on living leaves of Baccaurea (Phyllanthaceae) in Asia (Philippines). Uleothyrium clavisporum has been transferred to Prillieuxina.
