Importance and distribution

Trichasterina comprises eleven species known on seven different host plants in Annonaceae, Araliaceae, Asparagaceae, Myrtaceae and Urticaceae. Trichasterina is known from Asia (China, India (Tamil Nadu), Malaysia, Maluku islands, Taiwan), North America (Hawaiian Islands) and South America (Brazil).
